Villa Fabri, Trevi
Built at the behest of Girolamo Fabri at the end of the Cinquecento, Villa Fabri stands just outside the walls of Trevi in a special position with views over the valley below as far as Spoleto.
The façade has a double stone staircase with a nymph and three niches; inside, several rooms are painted with allegorical figures.
The garden is organised in three grassy terraces, marked out by low hedgerows, with the predominant species being linden, oak and a striking row of cypress trees.
The Villa, after several changes of ownership over the centuries, now belongs to the Council of Trevi, It houses the town’s Tourism Office, the Regional Extra Virgin Olive Oil Association of the DOP Umbria and the Villa Fabri Foundation. It is also used as a space for cultural events.
